We were thinking about creating a master list of sports teams with moose mascots, only to learn that another moose fan has beaten us to it.

The Food Bank of Alaska in conjunction with the Alaska Department of Corrections salvages moose that have been killed by trains and distributes the meat to local food pantries. Ken Procyk’s father was given a stuffed moose head in 1985. Named, Bob, the moose head bounced around the family for a couple of decades, adorning summer homes and garages. When Ken inherited it, he had no room for it, and sold it on eBay, hoping to find others that would appreciate it. [...]
