From Chugiak, AK: “Police say a Chugiak man was cited for animal cruelty for shooting a moose yesterday afternoon.
Police say 45-year-old Gary Lashbrook told authorities he shot the moose with a .44-caliber handgun because it appeared sick and needed to be put out of its misery.”
